I believe we are all created for connection in relationship, and that all relationships have the potential to bring great joy and great struggle. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship between us, and that addressing the concerns that bring you to therapy can be a process that brings healing, transformation, and growth.
My approach to counseling varies but is primarily informed by attachment and a relational psychodynamic perspective. The issues that bring you to counseling will provide the context for our work. In our time together, we will explore your current and past relational patterns as well as paying attention to the dynamic between us to gain insight into the origins of your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. It is my hope that this new awareness along with experience will inform your establishment of new ways of being that bring healing to your life.
